ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN STUDY

Plumbing website design study: Fern & Flow

Fern & Flow is an illustrative brand. This independent study explores how a plumbing website can make its services and next step easier to understand.

Illustrative Fern and Flow plumbing website design
Independent design concept. Not a real client engagement or a measured before-and-after result.

The customer question

For this study, the assumed visitor wants to know what kind of plumbing help is offered and how to make contact. The design gives service information and the next action prominent positions instead of asking the visitor to infer them from decorative imagery.

Decisions worth inspecting

  • Look at whether the headline explains the service before the visitor scrolls.
  • Check the contrast and spacing around the main action on a small screen.
  • Check whether supporting service information answers the next likely question.
  • Treat any assistant interface as a scoped demonstration rather than a promise of dispatch or live availability.

What this does and does not show

The image demonstrates a proposed visual hierarchy. It does not establish that the site is live, that a business endorses it, or that enquiries increased. A real project would need verified services, actual contact details, permissions and working end-to-end testing.

Apply the principle to your website

Write down the first question your customer brings to the site, then inspect whether the page answers it clearly. Explore the website service or compare the Marlow Coffee House study.
